Event Details
Celebrate the season with Sultans of String’s Christmas Caravan at The Concert Hall at Victoria Hall, an adventurous holiday concert that whirls from flamenco to Django-jazz, Middle Eastern grooves, Celtic jigs, and lush folk melodies. This 3x JUNO nominated ensemble reimagines festive favourites and seasonal originals with soaring violin, fiery guitar, and infectious rhythms, creating a joyful ‘trip around the world in one December night.
Expect surprise guests, rich stories behind the songs, and plenty of chances to clap, sing, and sway along as the band wraps familiar carols and global winter songs in dazzling new arrangements. Christmas Caravan hit Billboard’s World Music Charts and made the New York Times Hits List!
Christmas Caravan is also a special awareness and fundraising bash for the UNHCR. As UNHCR fundraising partners, the band has raised over $11,000. “Helping refugees is a cause we care about deeply because more than 67 million refugees worldwide are in desperate need of our support. They have every right to live a safe and dignified life as much as we do”, says Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal recipient and bandleader Chris McKhool. “By supporting the UNHCR, you are providing life-saving assistance to refugees all over the world.”
Tickets are $39 plus hst and service fee and available at the Experience Cobourg: 855-372-2210
