Orange Pomander Making at NCAM

Northumberland County Archives & Museum (NCAM) 2-590 Courthouse Road, Cobourg, Ontario, Canada

Join Northumberland County Archives and Museum to create Orange Pomanders. Orange pomanders—citrus fruits studded with cloves—originated in medieval Europe as fragrant charms believed to protect health. By the Victorian era they became popular Christmas decorations symbolizing warmth and prosperity, and today they’re a nostalgic craft that fills homes with festive scent and tradition.
